Performance Indicators
The collective health of your employees is an asset that needs to be managed and nurtured carefully. After all, we’re happier, more
productive and more efficient when we’re healthy. Furthermore, proactively managing and improving the health of your employees will
reduce hospitalizations and costly treatments for more advanced diseases.
It has been proven repeatedly that regular measurement and reporting of performance measures drives improvement. At Healthcare Direct
we firmly believe in the value of experienced, specialty trained doctors and nurses. But improving the heath
status of a defined population involves more than just well trained and dedicated providers; it requires definitive standards and
guidelines.
Our Performance Indicators consist of over thirty measures grouped into seven broad categories: Women’s Health, Musculoskeletal Disease,
Cardiac, Diabetes Care, Immunization and Infectious Disease and General Health/Provider Efficiency. These indicators are studied and
analyzed retrospectively at the start of every client contract, then re-visited on an annual basis. In this manner, Healthcare Direct
is able to identify specific areas for attention and improvement, and able to track our own progress through time. Our Performance
Indicators are continuously updated and improved, reflecting the latest developments in medical thought and research. Improving the
health of your employees arises from accountability and persistent scrutiny.
At Healthcare Direct measurement and accountability are hardwired into everything we do. Nothing else we can do will have a more
profound or positive impact on the health of your employees and dependents.
